What is the difference between applying for a Korean trademark as an individual or as a corporation?
There is no difference between the trademark applicant being an individual or a corporation.
However, if the applicant is a sole proprietorship (not a corporation), they must apply in their personal name. In the case of a corporation, it is possible to apply in the personal name of the CEO, if necessary, but in that case, it is just a personal name application. Therefore, it is advisable for a corporation that needs to use the trademark to apply in the name of the corporation.
It is also possible to freely change the name of the applicant from an individual to a corporation or vice versa in the future.
